The Red Dragon in Caia Park has been entered in the 2017 Good Pub Guide by mistake, the publisher has revealed.
Describing the pub as a ‘homely and traditionally Welsh’, the entry was in fact reserved for a charming bar with the same name in the leafy town of Usk in Monmouthshire.
Describing the mistake as something that was initially quite funny to something that is now quite concerning, writer Mike Smith said: “We thought it was quite a funny mistake by the researchers at first, but now the ramblers who use our guide on their walks are going missing”.
“People are hiking there in rain macks and walking boots hoping to sample some fish and chips and a local cask ale, and all they’re finding is a boarded up death trap and a Co-op with a gang of muggers waiting outside”.
“Sorry about this”.
