Mold and Buckley residents arrange fight to decide which town is friendliest

The age old question of whether Mold has a warmer welcome and friendlier atmosphere than Buckley could be answered this weekend, as residents from both towns arrange a mass brawl to finally get to the bottom of it.

Roughly 1,500 residents from each town will meet at high noon on Sunday on neutral ground, just behind the Argoed Social Club in Mynydd Isa. The last man standing shall claim victory on behalf of his hometown, once he’s provided proof of residency with a council tax bill.

“Mold is a pleasant, quaint and peaceful town, and anyone who thinks otherwise will get their teeth kicked down their throat”, explained Mold man Tim Jones this morning. “I hope their bruises, cracked craniums and broken ribs will finally make those bastards up the road realise that we’re just nice and decent folk”.

Ladbrokes have now placed Buckley ahead as slight favourites after rumours of an alliance between themselves and nearby Pen-Y-Fford were confirmed as true.
