A girl band from Wrexham are hoping to hit it big after arriving in the capital today in search of a lucrative record deal.

’Adickdid’, made up of Emma, Gemma and Jemma, all from Hightown, formed the group last summer, but have so far struggled to gain a foothold in the entertainment industry.

Singer-songwriter Gemma said: “Unfortunately we got off at the wrong stop and had actually been walking around a residential area of Milton Keynes for seven hours, but we’re in London now”

She added: “We are Wrexham’s answer to the Sugar Babes. We want a number one single and gigs at the O2 – I have a phone contract with them so I think I already have a foot in the door”.

The trio’s search for instant fame was cut short however when they remembered that Emma was on tag and had to be back at her mum’s before seven.
