Mum proud as son becomes first Shotton man to appear on telly
It's lovely when a local lad makes a name for himself
A Shotton mum is bursting with pride tonight after her son became the first man from Shotton to appear on national television.
27 year old Shaun Marshall starred in a 32 second clip on BBC’s Crimewatch this evening breaking into a Ford Fiesta. The clip made him the first in the area to get himself on the telly.
“You always want them to make it, but when it actually happens you can’t contain yourself”, 56-year-old mum Sharon explained on Facebook. “Okay so it might not be everyone’s idea of a career in showbiz, but you have to start somewhere. Today it’s Crimewatch, tomorrow it’s Corrie”.
It was at this point that Shaun was arrested and Sharon given a £2,000 reward for accidentally identifying who he was to the public.
